Rough terrain rental FAQs

Operators need certification? We run OSHA operator training. Machine down on site? See emergency repair.

How much does it cost to rent a rough terrain forklift?

Rough terrain forklift rental in the Northeast generally runs about $700–$1,300 per week or $1,800–$3,500 per month depending on capacity, lift height, and 2WD versus 4WD. Telehandlers with longer reach sit at the upper end. Delivery and pickup are quoted separately by distance.

What is the difference between a rough terrain forklift and a telehandler?

A rough terrain forklift has a fixed vertical mast and lifts straight up, which makes it stable and efficient for unloading trucks and moving material around a yard. A telehandler has an extendable boom that reaches forward and up, so it can place loads on upper floors or over obstacles — at the cost of reduced capacity as the boom extends.

Do you deliver rough terrain equipment to job sites?

Yes. We deliver and pick up with our own transport fleet across Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine, including active construction sites with scheduled delivery windows.

Do I need certification to operate a telehandler?

Yes. OSHA requires powered industrial truck operator training for telehandlers and rough terrain forklifts. We run operator certification and refresher training, and can certify your crew on the machine you rent.

Is maintenance included in the rental rate?

Yes. Planned maintenance, safety inspections, and normal-wear repairs are included. If a machine goes down, our 4-hour emergency response target applies to rentals on site.

Can I rent long term or apply rent toward purchase?

Yes. Long-term terms run 12–60 months, and rental-purchase (RPO) options let you apply payments toward buying the unit on most eligible classes.
